I was wondering...

Why the moderators never posted my non working model and claim that all dreamcasts work.
I'm just curious and was hoping I could be proven wrong, but am very doubtfull on that.

Here is a nice picture of the labels to look for, click it for a bigger image. The left DC works with CDR and the one on the right does not.
Missing the point.
The Treamcast was added to the list.
There are still people who ask and look to see which dreamcasts are compatible.
For the record there are others out there just like me who have non compatible to cd booting dreamcasts.
There are still future releases of Dreamcast games and they will be mis-labeled as compatible on all machines, which would be incorrect.
And that's the way it is...

all of dcemulation pages (bar the forum) are 2 years + out of date. So i would not expect that list to be updated soon. Best thing would be to make at page at dreamcast-scene like
http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/index.ph ... bilitylist
and then anyone could add to it

Personally, I think the dcemulation website should be taken down since it's obviously never going to be updated. It's an abomination as it is, but then it sort of always was even when it was more or less up to date.
I mean think of the poor newbie who's trying to learn the basics of homebrew or emulation on the Dreamcast and stumbles across dcemulation first. No wonder we get so many confused people stumbling into the forums all the time. And those are the people who are willing to stick with it and ask in the forum, most people probably just give up and go burn some more warez.
...word is bondage...
