Can't comment on the movie because I have seen it yet but I can comment on it's box office takings, from early Friday numbers being posted it's made more than double the money of Flushed Away & Santa Claus 3 even though it's being screened at less than half of the cinemas. It looks like it could be the #1 movie for the weekend.
Go Borat!

In a related bit the suns sent a reader to borat country
And back on the main topic I hope to see the film later or in the next week, from the bits that have been floating around I'll laugh till I'm in danger of bursting something probably
Read the rest of it complete with some pics hereWOMEN with hair on their faces, taxis drawn by donkeys and a national obsession with horsemeat.
This is the ugly picture of his home country as painted by Borat, No2 journalist in Kazakhstan.
But is it really as grim as the funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen, below, makes out in his new hit movie, in cinemas now? We sent one lucky reader to Kazakhstan, to find out.
JAGSHEMASH! Welcome to Borat country.
We took fan Dave McQuiggin half way round the globe to Kazakhstan to make benefit for Sun readers.
Dave, 27, from South London, is a plumber by day but put down his plunger for a once-in-a-lifetime Kazak experience.
It was a seven-hour flight into the southern city of Almaty and Dave was feeling hungry. So, after unpacking, it was time to hit the town and savour the local cuisine.
In Kazakhstan they seem to be happy to eat anything with four legs and fur. But their favourite dish is a sausage made from horsemeat called besbarmak.
So that?s what we ordered. Dave was beginning to turn green as he tucked into a steaming hot plate of what looked more like dog food.
Gagging, he said: ?My gran used to keep a farm with horses so I grew up riding ? I?ll never look at a horse in the same way again. If you?re reading this, sorry Gran.
?It doesn?t taste as bad as I thought it would but I won?t be able to watch Black Beauty again without heaving.?
Also on the menu was a stew made from smashed shinbone of lamb, which smelt especially unappetising.
But the worst was yet to come.
To wash down his dish of pony offal, we ordered a jug of kumis, the Kazakhstan national drink.
It is made from fermented horse milk and is the foulest-smelling liquid imaginable. It is highly alcoholic and packs a hell of a punch ? if you can keep it down.
Dave said: ?That?s the most disgusting thing I?ve tasted. It makes horsemeat taste great. I think I?m going to be sick.?
And back on the main topic I hope to see the film later or in the next week, from the bits that have been floating around I'll laugh till I'm in danger of bursting something probably

When I want to see an R-rated movie, I go to the theater and buy a ticket. While the people I'm with are over 21, that's because they're my friends and we are all around the same age.stagg wrote:I want to see it. It's 17, but I assume that if you want to get in and you're under 17 you need someone who is over 21 to go with you.Thomas wrote:I thought it was 18 to buy R tickets?Roofus wrote:When I want to see an R-rated movie, I go to the theater and buy a ticket. I actually to the point of crying when I read that. It probably has to do more with being tired than anything, but the image of stagg getting turned down makes me laugh. Hard.
