That's the plan...

Had the GOAT Store site been working right now, GOAT Store Publishing would've already had the updated GOAT Games page. Without it working though, we have a bigger fish to fry first.

With any luck, it'll be fixed tonight, and then all will be good. GOAT Games will then be updated this weekend :)

Hi there, rmedtx wonders if you'd be interested in doing a commercial release of Rael: The Redemption too:

I know this may not seem like much, but I've finally had a chance to set up my development environment to work on Yumi: Samurai Warrior. I finally got a title worked up at least for the demo that'll go to GOAT at the end of the year and you'll also see a sample of the custom font I'll be using for the game as well, personally made by myself.

Image

I'm going to work my butt off on getting at least one stage made this week and all the misc stuff like flash animations, block animations, and a lot of the blood splatters that you'll see in the game.

Not to worry, Lord Ball is doing a fantastic job with the gaming engine that'll be incorporated with SW but it's still laced with his test mod Night Warriors, so I'll have a few screenshots ready when I've replaced the place holders. :D Also, my friend, Anonymous Bob who did the music for my Samurai Pizza Cats demo has came back and he'll be doing a good bit of the soundtrack for the game which I'm very excited about.

I'll have more news as I either make progress on the game or LB impresses me with another cool feature that I'll just have to add
If you've got an ass, I'll kick it!

Darn when kungpow said his end would be a updated BOR I figured the first thing he would of done would be to increase the color pallet so it didnt look so retro and look more modern like AOTB.

Cool Herders was the previous release, and that was December of 2005. So nothing actually made it out in 2006.

Hey guys,

I still pay attention to the boards, although a little more sporadically than before. We're still working on everything and more! I have a feeling that the next few months will be very good, as we have a whole bunch of projects that should all come in at about the same time, and many of them are really amazing.

We don't publish anything until it is ready to go, and since the developers are independent groups for the most part, we don't have anything forcing them to finish titles by a certain time. We just work to see what we can get done as soon as we can. Keep watching though! Expect a big update sometime in February... :)

Thanks for the update Dan :)

I got a question regarding Drill. I've noticed that you've never mentioned a GOAT release of Drill... It is one of the games I've been looking forward most to seeing it commercially released.

Click on the screenshot to download their demo video. It looks incredible I think. :o

Games Confirmed not to make it this decade:

1) Feet Of Fury 2: is more or less dead, due to Konami getting the whole DDR style gameplay registered for themselves.

2) Fightoon: Fragger postponed the project indefinetly due to the hardwork and little appreciation or something along those lines.

They are several others scrapped as well... fill in the list please.

Games still in development and will probably come out this year

1) Donk: We all know how well the games comming along, sure it didn't come out this year, but it will be out before Xmas.

I am intrested in the development of Yumi Samurai Warrior that game was comming along really fast.

Also Radium that game was supposedly complete or something..

Fightoon is cancelled, not just postponed.

Yumi: Samurai Warrior development was kinda frozen the last time I saw any news about it. The author was trying to recruit some people to help.

Dunno about Radium. AFAIK all they had to do is to port its engine to the DC. The links to the videos of the PocketPC version in their website never worked, and IIRC the DC version was supposed to come out a year ago. Its page in the Goat Store Publishing website is still up.

Thankfully, Donk! is going very well. Rush Rush Rally Racing was also going well last time I checked. But these two are the only ones whose development seems to be active.

I think both Beats of Rage based games, Rael and Yumi, are back in development. :)

I am not holding my breath. I am just keeping hope that a few more shmups come out of Japan for an actual commercial release. The fact is that it takes a lot of work to make a game; and if these games are being made by the average joe(s) who have lives, jobs, etc....the odds are that it will take a lot of time and probably a miracle for a labor of love to happen especially considering that there is less motivation to make something when the idea of making something for a greener pasture may be possible for something like live arcade, playstation network, etc. I just figure if something does come out - count your blessings.
