They let you play imported games without a boot disc. They are relatively easy to install.

As Saturn with games for that little is well worth it. The modchips are a cinch to install.

Do you accept paypal? I can only order if you accept paypal. And not a biggie but does it come with an instruction sheet or do you know of a site where i can find instructions or is the chip intuitive to install? Otherwise i'll just ask on forums for install help.

Yes, I take PayPal. I send the chips with a sheet that shows where you have to make the connections on the chip and on the board, they are actual pictures, pretty easy to figure out. I've chipped two of my own systems with these same chips, this is about the easiest upgrade out there for a Dreamcast.
