It's all true. It's damn near unplayable if you want to take a created character through career mode, I swear I only got one match in during my half-hour bus ride. But if you just want to do single matches without touching the career mode at all then the load times are fine as long as you turn off the entrances.

I wouldnt say GTA has unreasonable load time, because once its done the big load once, thats pretty much it, and you can leave it on sleep and only ever need tiny loads after that.
The games that suffer most are ones where you spend a lot of time switching between menus and actually playing the game, so you have to reload again and again. Its a shame really, but youve just got to learn to live with it I guess. Id love to use my PSP just for emulation, but the same old retro crap just doesnt do it for me anymore.
Smackdown is rather excessive though...nogame Ive got takes anywhere near that long to load.

Is it any wonder though? I can't stand playing SvR2k6 on PS2 because it takes soooooo long! Sure there are some terrible loading times in DoR2 on GC, but mainly when created a wrestler/entrance or playing a game with entrances on. Other than that, navigating menus, etc. is quite good. But I can't stand SvR2k6, it takes so long! Playing online takes about 30mins before you even start a match.
So really, this is no surprise to me. (haven't watched this video yet, doing that now )
I watched it. Wow.

Someone released a GTA boot loader. So, you can play GTA on <2.0 PSP's.melancholy wrote:I wouldn't know, I can't play GTA.BoneyCork wrote:I wouldnt say GTA has unreasonable load time, because once its done the big load once, thats pretty much it, and you can leave it on sleep and only ever need tiny loads after that.
Anyone know what the longest load time of any game available in the past three generations is? That is, SNES era to the current? I know some of the Neo Geo CD games have very long load times...
This game has the longest loads I've seen in a current gen game.

I seen that, but doesn't it require some kind of flash to the PSP's bios to trick it or something? I didn't understand all the technicalities of it when I was trying to read the tutorial.Crazy Caboose wrote:Someone released a GTA boot loader. It's my understanding that using the GTA boot loader only lets you play about 85% of the homebrew out there.melancholy wrote:I seen that, but doesn't it require some kind of flash to the PSP's bios to trick it or something?
