Quickcam IM Problem

Well, I have a Quickcam IM and it is not working. Whenever someone views my webcam, the screen comes up black. Everything is on, but nothing is showing. I had it hooked up to my sister's laptop, and it worked. It's on mine now and it doesn't work :(. Please, anyone out there, HELP!
