post your modification pictures

Post by LyingWake »

I wanna see some pictures of the different mods you guys have done. Only post the mods that are yours only. I might make a little mod gallery on my site like Devcast has, so you gotta let me use them if you post any pictures.

Here's all the pictures I have:

Above two are case modifications. I used a sports Dreamcast for the black casing.

Image
Window lid modification. I used a jewel CD case as the window (excuse the non-working main LED).

Image
Modem LED modification.

Image
Controller cord modification.

-----

Here's an unrelated modification I did to the main LED of my GameCube:

That's what I've done so far. I plan on doing more mods to that Dreamcast as soon as I recieve my dremel.

Speaking of mods, does anyone know an online store where I can get mini/micro switches for real cheap? I need one for a mod I did/am doing ;)

You have my wall clock, these are my controller mods. I have a bunch of LEDS in my DC, Ill try to get some pics of it later for your site. Right now my DC is in the garage in a plastic storage box. Ill look later. I did a snes case paint job, but it looks crappy without the story behind it. It was in a room fire, and it melted/was sooty and black. Looks good for a burn victim, but not as a good paint mod. You can scround those pics up tp if you want. I put a toggle switch for on/off, and a power LED besides the paint job.

nothing big on mine. just a simple repaint. the whole case except for the peice in front (controller ports) is kind of a dark red-ish. it actually looks pretty nice. just wished that i wouldve thought of something more nice looking at the time. but meh. no pics though. i could try using my webcam, but thats as much as i can do.

btw, has anyone ever managed to strip the paint off a DC without mangling it?

This is my Millenium Falcon Dreamcast...

Image

It has built in VGA, i hand painted the detail on the top, it uses two blue cold cathode tubes for the 'engines'...

Image

I cut out and made the mechanism for the flip top...

Image

And it has two nice bright blue LED's on the front for head lamps...

Image

It's almost finished, but i need to put some thin plastic under where the disc goes, and a few other bits and pieces that i'll never get round to :p
