Everybody does NOT love raymond... -_- (rant)

I have to get a few things off my chest... excuse me... one thing off my chest.

When I got to school, this show has never entered my mind as a great "must see" show. However, I guess I am sorely mistaken. Seriously, every-fucking-body at my school dorms *LOVE* this show. They can't get enough of it. TBS at 6 or so everyday, and Mitch (my roommate) has to turn it on-- I walk to my lobby and the people there turn it on.

THERE IS NO ESCAPING RAY RAMANO!

The show is a horrible show overall. I mean, the jokes aren't even funny, and the thing is cast horrible. Honestly lets start at the top.

"raymonds" dad: The dad is all right I guess, barable, yet slightly annoying
"raymonds" mom: I don't think they could have made a worse choice. I think they tried to get a mom like George's mom from seinfeld, but FAILED MISERABLY in picking who they did. The woman is annoying, ugly, fat and i want to stab her.
"raymonds" bro: The stupid tall guy with the really deep voice. This is such a gimmick. he has a deep voice and is stupid, so that's funny? Talk about overplayed roles in all of TV.... this doesn't accomplish ANYTHING, yet people eat this up!
"raymonds" wife: okay... shes decent, and doesnt talk much. i would.
Ray-Fucking-Ramano: I don't have a personal beef with him, he seems like a decent guy. just the fucks around him... the show name, the casting, the writing. Terrible.

And now the name of the show.

"Everybody Loves Raymond."

Everybody.... *LOVES* raymond. What the hell. I don't love raymond. My mom doesnt love raymond. My god, what makes them think that EVERYBODY loves their ugly poster child and qualifies for this high status title? It doesn't. I hate this show.

Let's move on to the actual show. It is TERRIBLE. What is so funny!??! there is no novelty, its all the same damn 'Who's the boss' scripts rearranged. Like Home improvement, but without the family appeal (i.e. stupid) This is potentially the worst writing i've seen in any show. Also, the new DVD packaging... IT IS THE MOST BORING PACKAGE EVER! Nothing about this show is appealing. absolutely nothing. I would rather gouge my eyes out with forks made of salt than watch this show again.

It gets so hard when I'm sitting htere minding my own business when mitch turns on the tv and smacks me in the face with this show. And this extreme dislike and hate is what I feel every single damn time.

I have bitched to people in my lobby about this, and of course they are "Rayniacs"... and have fallen under the horrid spell. Also... my roommate was downstairs watching Drew Carey the other day in the lobby and he said "Hey, this used to be my favorite show."

*silence*.... i knew somebody would say it... but who... who would....

There was one, one that knew of this dislike.

"What is your favorite show now Mitch?"

Our local station used to play Seinfeld reruns until they switched to Raymond

just go play quake3 online or something when its on, and turn up the volume high enough for the "double kill"'s to drown out the tv

My brother likes it, I personally don't. He gets paid way too much money for the crappy jokes that he has. The same with Seinfield, I didn't find him the least bit of funny.

Seinfeld is good!.....No surprise since the guy that stars in Curb your Enthusiasm (absolutely love this show) did writing for Seinfeld.

There's a reason that 5 years after it went off that Seinfeld is stil one of the most popular shows on TV. As for Raymond, I watch it sometimes. It's OK.

I'm absolutely disgusted by that show. I've never even watched more than 2 minutes of it before almost going berserk. I cannot stand that stupid assed ray romano wanker either, shit, I shudder every time I see the commercials for some reason. lol

Thought I was overreacting, but naw, the guy's a complete twat. I have much better things to do than keep up with a really crappy sit com. Death to everybody loves raymond!

raymonds not bad. MulletMan13, i take it you don't have any Italian in your blood. the mom is freaking hillarious, or maybe i relate to it the way office workers relate to dilbert.

you want a funny sitcom watch cheers(if you haven't) and frasier. to classic shows that are still funny today.

and Seinfeld can be hillarious. Junior Mints anyone. and weeper doesn't like sitcoms, not that there's anything wrong with that.

For the record, I hate his ass. Just one more mediocre standup comedian who gets a break and thinks he's god. Remind you of anyone else?

The funny thing is once they hire professional writers for those shows, that's when the ratings go sky high. So it really doesn't have a lot to do with the star's "talent".

Seinfeld, you either love it or hate it. It's not for everyone.
Raymond is just another crappy sitcom. I hat the mother in it,linuxuser,im italian and i still hate the mom. i hate hate ignorant characters and people.
