Does anyone have a link to the hacked uxtheme.dll for SP1?

StyleXP? Yeah, but uxtheme.dll is much cleaner

ah ok. Yeah I meant StyleXP, i was thinking about themexp.org for some reason. Go there anyways if you're looking for themes, wallpapers, icons, boot screens, etc.

This hack doesn't work with SP2 installed though, does it?

can you get SP2 through Windows Update yet? I'm installing XP tomorrow on my laptop and I haven't decided if i should get SP2 yet or not, but i'll be getting SP1 for sure

Download the network installer and slipstream it

It's seriously annoying. My dad has it on his laptop, and it keeps nagging him about security settings. And it put a firewall on a local network connection, then complains when I turned it off...

Oh, and IE's popup blocker is also pretty irritating. Not that it matters to me (hugs USB stick with Firefox on it).

Just tell it that you have your own firewall that you will monitor.

That setting's pretty well hidden though. I did find it eventually, but it's not exactly obvious.
