Scanner problem

Hey everyone I recently got my ol' visioneer 4800 scanner out.Their is 1problem though.I need the paperport software OR some free scanner software that lets me scan the images in do some simple color correctment and store them in the software(I would prefer the paperport software) I see the paperport drivers but not the software....

Hey to make thigns worst im now getting some gay ass "scanne rlocked" please unlock error....
Their is NO WHERE to unlock this 4800visioneer scanner....
please some help.

Luckily this gay-ass user has found software drivers for you

Try that and see if it works? I don't know if it includes "Paperport" or not (I've never used it myself) but it might mean you'll be able to scan with a normal TWAIN interface.

"Scanner locked"? I know some scanners and printers ship in a "locked" state and somewhere underneath you have to pull or twist something (a dial next to a little picture of a padlock last time I had to do it). If it's been in storage for awhile then that could be it, but just a guess - a lot of scanners don't have stuff like that... just a guess.

You could use the trial version of Paint Shop Pro , and scan via TWAIN.

Thanks for your help but you havent suggested what I havent already tried I took my scanner apart(safely) and to no avail a swutch any where.I didnt use that software you recomened I used my copy of photoshop7 and tried it that wya gives me same error.....

I have a visioneer 8920 usb...anyone know if it'll work with OSX and Photoshop CS?
