How many games can nesterdc hold???

um.. the question is the topic, how many games can nesterdc hold. Ive been trying to burn about 1000 games and each time I try it doesn't work. Im just want to know if there is a limit to the games u can have on there or if that many games goes over 80minutes..... Thanks in advance for any help

Ah - and when I checked the knowledge base for myself, I found the answer to my question:

i think the maximum amount might actually be 1,023 because i once placed 1,024 roms into a folder and the last game didn't show up on the rom selection menu.

I had the same happen a week ago. I'd go with 1,023.

The need for 1023 games on one cd you never play 80% of them more then 1 min.

Yes - but if they're really PD Roms (like they're supposed to be), then you want to try them all out, since you've probably never played them before.

I don't know about NES PD Roms, but I do know that, with different versions of things, etc., there are easily over 1000 GB, GBC and GBA roms hosted on PDRoms alone (1043, to be precise). Who knows what else is out there. If you were to search around the net a lot, you could probably find at least 4-500 PD Roms out there for NES (of course, that includes all of those stupid Manga slide shows, etc.)

Well 1023 per folder as you can create many folders in the games directory of nester and place 1023 roms on each. But who's got time to play that many games?

Since Scherzo's Nester SE is based on Nester 7.1 the It's quite possible, hell I could say that in fact It does support multiple rom folders in the games directory.

You're right. I don't have the time to play 1000 games. Why bother increasing the number if roms in a folder?

Sheesh, having more than a thousand roms in a folder seems like it would be inconvenient anyways, since you'd have to page through so many just to find what you want. Instead, just use alphabetical folders so that you have a folder for games that start with A and another for B and so on. It'll make everything much easier to sort through and you won't have to worry about limits since each directory will likely have less than a hundred files.

or if you wanna be really fancy, you could sort them by genre or producer, or however you want.
