I happen to have that issue of Shonen Jump (since I'm a Naruto fan). So could you point me to an image that is so bad that you can't post it on this forum? I mean, honestly, I have read close to every issue since Shonen Jump started in the US, and there hasn't been anything more revealing than what you just posted. I don't think it has to do with religion. Maybe your "mommy" just doesn't want you to view women as only sexual beings or objects. Or maybe she told you to get rid of it so that you can actually go outside, you know out the front door, and find a real girl.

just say you didn't know that the manga was like that when you ordered it, bring up that she is clothed and that if you want to see girls in bathing suits you can just go to the local pool, and inform her you are growing up (i dunno how old you are but once you turn 18 no matter she says it won't mater) and if all else fails in form her taht things have changed since when she was a kid, that what is acceptable by society is more open now.

ok ok. so NO ONE else has a messed up mom like this? I think she's like this because of her childhood or something. She was one of 10 kids and her brothers actually raped her before. I don't know. I just can't take having bizarre parents..

Well to be honest with you, my own mother was/is pretty psycho about porn (and just plain psycho. but that's another thread.) She thought just about any picture of a girl was porn. She went ballistic when she saw pictures from Maxim on the computer.

I'm just glad I managed to hide my 'real' stash better.

My mother to a extent is like that. While she wouldn't find that picture offense, she would probably wonder why i have a book with skimpy cartoons in it (don't understand the art of anime).

However I have to watch when playing games, or watching certain shows. For instance she would freak out if she seen Ifriti or Diablo from the Final Fantasy games since they resemble a demon.

I cant remember the name of the church I go to some times. Santa Teresa some Church. I dont really see difference between Christian and Catholic churchs.

Catholicism is a kind of Christianity. So is Protestantism. So are Baptists. So are Born Agains. So are Mormons. (continue on with the 100+ denominations of Christianity)

Don't feel bad, Jess. My parents were pretty tame (my mom's Catholic, my dad.. I think.. is Lutheran, for the record) but my aunt and uncle... The won't let their kids watch Disney movies (Sleeping Beauty, etc. have magic, which is satanic), most cable channels, or listen to secular (i.e., non-Christian) music.
