I dunno though, since x11 is on mac now, I can now use kde or gnome now. there seems to be a lot of linux users here. should I?

Up to you. I really like Gnome, but I've never tried OSX so I can't really offer a valid opinion.
Here's my current Gnome desktop using the newly released Gnome 2.6

Oh, and that's the RUN command there in the lower left, and other desktops are selectable in the lower right corner there... maybe I should post some of them... hehe... maybe someone will get curious and zoom in REALLLLLY close... and see horrible artifacts!!! YAY!

Like I said... multiple desktops in Talisman... this one lets me quickly select what game I want... btw, if anyone knows of any freeware/abandonware oldschool games that they just love, drop me a line so that I can get one
