Presumably to store more you'll need to remove the battery clip; battery; the game cart and put in an additional memory card then re-assemble? I can see things being a bit fiddly if you are on the train and decide to listen to some music on a whim. The Kron wrote:The MP3 player part is pretty useless as standard as there is only 3.6 megs available for MP3 storage so you'll be lucky to store one high rate track.
Anyone know what's the deal with pushing the dpad in to function as a 'start' button? Urgh, that is so unintuitive. The Kron wrote: The D-pad is pretty awful too, Feels like a flimsy cheap 3rd party one.

I think whoever buys one should be beaten with a jumbo sized GBA. The EBGames where I live got 1 pre-order for the thing, between its announce date and its release date. Its too tedious to put the thing together aftr taking it apart to replace the games. The graphics may be 3d, but they aren't all that great, and the launch lineup sucks. Aside from that, for the $300 you could get the N-Gage for, you could buy a GBA and at least 7 games.
I can't figure out why all these companies are trying to create these devices that do EVERYTHING. I swear one day somebody is going to make some 'ultimate handheld' that subjugates humanity.

finaly moved on nar i love the c64 but have to remember i see it throu my memorys and not what any one sees any more. Geting mello Im about to turn 27 soon . And the C64 is my youth and you cant hold on to it forever even thou i would like to. At 27 you feel not the same it is pretty clear that in a few years 30 pops up and no longer do young gurls give you the eye or do people call you young man etc. Down hill from here. You know you never get use to being old i know i dont. This hand held looks ok if they can fix some of the problems. I want to move forward Might even give up my classic cars as well. Better is better some times even the biggest fan boy has to move on and not look back.Ive changed a lot over the last year in Real life things happen thats life.Nyarlathotep wrote:So you are no longer a C64 fanboy?Ian Micheal wrote:Some times you have to move forward to what is better.

Its already overpriced without having to pay extra to use its features properly.Hollywood Hasney wrote:Or you can use the mem cardsThe Kron wrote:The MP3 player part is pretty useless as standard as there is only 3.6 megs available for MP3 storage so you'll be lucky to store one high rate track.

Tony Hawks has supposedly perfect version of all the songs present in the Playstation version.

Cool i would hope so. I think this thing should of been a standalone Handheld the phone part and the keys are not good. with some work this could of been the worlds best handheld. The grafix to me are amazing ps1 in your hand was a dream for many now it is real.az_bont wrote:Tony Hawks has supposedly perfect version of all the songs present in the Playstation version.

Hmm, maybe I read it wrong - I'll check again. It might have said "music" not "audio".
*checks*
Yeah, it lacks MUSIC, not audio. My bad.
These Games lack music:
Tomb Raider
Puzzle Bobble Vs.
Pandemonium
"low quality music"
Sonic N

Occasionally there'd be a short, simple tune during really intense, atmospheric moments. Tomb Raider just isn't the same without that orchestrated music warning you of danger ahead.Ian Micheal wrote:Did Tomb Raider 1 ever have music ?

Pandemonium and Monkey Ball look like the best games on the system.
Normally Puzzle/Bubble Bobble/Bust-A-Move rocks, but every review skewered it for slowness and horrible visuals (can't tell colors apart). On the NGPC (Puzzle Bobble Mini is my fav NGPC game), I had the problem of telling the grey and purple bubbles apart, so I'm ready to believe they could have done worse....
