On the back of this weeks free tv guide theres an ad for a pretty good looking Time computer for ?800 - pretty cheap for the spec which is as follows:

XP3000+ processor
512MB RAM
256MB ATI Radeon 9200
160GB HDD
DVD-R rewriter
wireless keyboard + mouse
dolby 5.1 onboard sound
plus the usual software bundles.

IF you're looking for something 'midrange' try http://www.morgancomputers.co.uk for a refurb - they usually have a pretty good range of HP Pavillions

Try the usual and check out Dell or HP. If you got extra money lying around then check out Sony. I'm assuming u want an entire desktop package, so i suggest starting with Dell 1st. Chances are they'll have the type of computer that'll you'll need.

Building your own is incredibly easier and better... but if you're too stupid to do that (and you must be really stupid if you can't do that, it's like putting a puzzle together, parts nowadays are built so you can't screw anything up) pay a geek to build you one.

If I was going w/ a pre-built it'd be either Dell or PB. Those are the ones with the least 'pre-built machine' prob's in work.

Oh yeah, if I was going to get a prebuilt, Alienware or Apple.

Edit: I wasn't trying to insult him, but instead make him try to build his own to prove himself :P I know he can do it

'Time' are worse than useless, stay the hell away from those guys.

And the only pre-built PC recommendation I can give you is not to buy one, get a local small shop to build you a custom one, It will save you lots of money and service charges.

When I say "prebuilt recommendations" I mean in terms of quality of put togetherness if you get what I mean. Im looking at cheaper companies, but it seem to be these companies that leave you with a totally messed up comp because the fan doesnt work well enough or something.

As for building my own, I dont care if its like a puzzle. I dont like puzzles. I dont like putting things together. I value money over time. Its sad but true.
