I tried installing the Pike they linked to as well as an nt4 release
Im running Windows 2k with all service packs
The one they linked to on their site (Pike-v7.3.14-Win32-Windows-NT-4.0.1381-i86pc.exe) runs and has a bunch of
DL: Symbol '_gtk_blahblah_type' not found.
and then I get There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive E:
and the nt4 release just doesn't work :)

Pike question
It didn't work for me either.. I just got the install window open up, but it doesn't do anything, doesn't draw in the window, just sits there until I close it manually..

I had GIMP installed
I just ran it from GIMP directory and it worked partly
it said all those files were missing still, but it asked me where to install it but then it wouldn't compile the dreamsnesinstall.pike file
said all this crap about non void functions and such

As do I.
After a lot of fighting with it, I've given up on being able to run their script already.. they shoulda used something like PHP with GTK bindings, not Pike.

Yeah, I pretty much gave up on making the Pike installer work too. Having a GUI installer is kind of pointless if you have to jump through hoops to get the installer to work - it's easier to just use GoodSNES and master the disc manually with the usual tools. As for Pike as the choice of language, I think it's because Peter Bortas was already a Pike expert (insert medieval combat joke here)...
The Pike installer was a bit rushed (as were a few other things), since they decided that they _should_ release 0.9.5 on valentine. Peter Bortas told me today that he didn't succeed in using the installer without doing a lot of magic stuff (Marcus Comstedt made the installer). Peter also told me that he was going to build a one .zip version of the installer and release it soon.
