Dreamsnes 1.0

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Dreamsnes 1.0

Post by dsj1 »

I think there's a strong possibility that the newest version of the awesome super-nintendo emulator Dreamsnes will be out out on valentine's day(a major holiday-the team mentioned "some other appropriate holiday" to release there great emulator!) Let's hope this will be the absolute best emu yet, although we do have some truly fantastic emu's already! There's some wonderful talent in the "Dc dev people out there- let's all give them the praise they so truly deserve!" We'll see come feb. 14, 2002.

Maybe, but then again maybe Easter.... maybe Thanksgiving, maybe Xmas or even New Years 2003... it's all just speculation at this point :)

One thing though, if it does come out on Valentines, it better not be love themed :puke:

Valentines day is a "Halmark Holiday". Its all just a marketing / money making scheme.

No, this has happended every holiday so far. Last Christmas, New Years, etc. There is no proof, we still haven't heard from the authors yet since we made the DreamSNES forum. I would move this into the DreamSNES forum, but it breaks the #1 rule. So I'll keep it here so it will stay open at least.

It wasn't the Christmas message. I have corresponded with a member of the DreamSNES team recently but I'm not at liberty to disclose what was discussed through private e-mail. It was nothing overly important though.

Just because the DSNES guys don't post doesn't mean they're not here (or at other sites) & just because they don't update the status of their project a lot on their site doesn't mean that it's dead. Let them do their own thing without disturbing them & eventually we might see something.

Valentine's Day isn't a holiday by the way, unless people get a day off for it in other countries?

Be honest people, Theres a holiday at least every week in some religion or country. It could be ANY time so i guess it will be a MAJOR worldwide holiday. Unless they tried to but got delayed so they dont wanna release it out of the blue and look like tits. (not that they do or would but....oh hell i dunno)

Great work so far anywayz DreamSnes team if u read these forums to see what is sead bout cha emu :p

There are other Mardi Gras held around the world, Sydney has a Gay & Lesbian one for instance.

Not really. I live in philly and you can't really say that nothing is celebrated. It's crazy up here

Valentine's Day

Post by 42stimpy42 »

Yes, Valentine's Day is a holiday. It marks the day when St. Valentine drove the snakes out of Ireland.

Or, was that St. Nicholas?
