They did.
Rap has done nothing but glorify a lifestyle of ignorance, and allow the lower class to think that being ignorant is an accepatble way of life.

Frankly mate that is BS. Rap is as equal a form of expression as any other artform. In fact it wasn't long ago that you could say rap was the artform of the masses. I don't happen to listen to it a lot but I have read enough rap lyrics to see that you can't lump them all into the same category. That's like saying every punk band is like Blink182 and sings about shagging dogs and crapping your pantsecd666 wrote:They did.Narcissus wrote:C'mon guys, this is the same board member that said Tupac, Biggie, and Jam Master Jay all deserved what they got. Rap, like any other music, can be as shallow or as deep as the artist intends. It can be about "beotches" and "hoes" or it can be as poetical as Bob Dylan (eg Tupac Shakur). To class it all in the same way is just ignorant.
Anyway, back to the topic

That shallow part of rap that is nothing but jewelry, cars, and women is about... 99.9% of the industry. There are exceptions, but way too far and few between for me to pay any respect to the rap industry.CoasterKing wrote:Frankly mate that is BS. And personally, I'd rather hear a humorous, yet crappy, Blink182 song about fart jokes and screwing a dog rather than the same ol' "white people be trippin', i get hoes in diffrunt area codes" bs.

I can understand people's feelings about the state of rap these days, but being an active member of the rap community, and a music lover in general, I think it's hard and ignorant to stereotype any type of music. Just as it is ignorant to stereotype any type of person. Any form of artistic/creative expression to me is good... When you have an outlet that you can let go of your feelings, whatever they may be, I think you seem to be a happier person in general... but hey what do I know...
By the way, maybe this would be a good time to plug our new cd. We just got it in Tuesday, and if anyone is interested in a copy (only 10 bux) just let me know. They were professionally made, very high quality, same as the major record labels produce. Not only that, it's a HOTTT cd!

You sound like such a loser unibrow.
Hitler was just as human as me and you. His problem is that he judged people and forced his beliefs on him. Not unlike claiming he's not human simply becuase you don't agree with him.
Hail Hitler.
And you wonder why so many people have so much hatred in them.
Why am I a loser?
It's people like you that need to watch "Bowling for Columbine".
P.S. If you don't have anything nice to say, go to another board. This is your first and only warning...
