^ Taken from http://www.lan-kwei.com^Did you know that the DC served in the acades as well? Good. And exactly these arcade DCs have been refurbished, tested, and rebuilt into a normal DC, all under the strict quality control of Sega. The result is the limited R7 edition. It is very rare, only 10,000 units have been produced.
- console pack includes one joypad and all neccessary connection cables

Check this out.
This device turns your DC into a real arcade machine.
- compatible to over 200 games
- use your DC as a coin-up arcade machine
- all adaptors included (Jamma, Joystick, Coin)
- supports PAL/NTSC consoles/games
- DC console not included
- you must have an arcade cabinet to install this item, it is not a stand-alone unit!
Here is one for the Playstation 1.
Anyone heard of these before?

I've seen those before - I think it was on Lik-Sang. I remember you could get one for the Mega Drive as well. It had a 10-cartridge slot, and when you put the money in it started a timer. When you had two minutes left the screen would flash green as a warning so you could add more money. I don't know if those work in the same way though - it'd be cool if they did.Calavera wrote:Check this out.

These are rare models, but they're not the rarest.
The original Japanese DC model had a 33kbps modem.
R7 Dreamcasts, which are Jap, have a 56kbps modem. And, as Dutch said, they're made of refurbished Naomi parts.

Actually, the Sega Sports DC has nothing to do with the R7, except they're both the color black.... The R7 came out waaaay after the Sega Sports one did, so it was hardly an "answer"... the Sega Sports models include the same modem as a normal DC and the parts aren't from Naomi parts..Sir Slash wrote:its legit, i have known of it for a long time...the USA answer was the sports DC
It's thinking...
