That reminds me, I was reading a review of the latest Soprano's episode, and the guy kept bitching about there not being enough action. C'mon! The series is more than just an ongoing action flick. Some people just don't appreciate art. The reviewer would probably pass off literary works such as Madame Bovary and any Chekhov play as "boring soap operas"...liltimmyw wrote:argh, i hate people who complaing about the first half sucking and the 2nd half beeing good(of FOTR). They think a movie should just be action non-stop and build up any sort of storyline. and to those who complain about the ending, i hate you

Actually, if a movie is planned for a multi disc release, they probably have the first disc done as soon as possible, so they can get to work on the second disc. Many times this isn't the case, but sometimes it is.Jeeba Jabba wrote:Cless wrote:I'm still going to go see it in theaters people, I mean cmon its LOTR. I just couldnt wait for it. I have no clue what your talking about when you say crappy quality seeing how there dvd rips.
How can there be DVD rips if it hasnt even been released in theatres... C'mon cless, At least put a little effort into your lies.

I may have to complain about the ending to The Two Towers, I don't know yet. I had been reading that Peter Jackson had decided to take the ending and 'move it somewhere else.' Which to anyone who has read the books will know as total lunacy, as there is nowher else anywhere near that point that could make an 'ending.'
But after seing one of the new trailers (don't know if it is the same one or not. The one last posted on Slashdot. The longest one with Lux Aeterna as the soundtrack, AKA the music used in Requiem for a Dream), I noticed a few frames of one of the hobbits as 'something thin, brown and hairy' slipped by behind him.... That hopefully means that the ending is intact, I hope.

True, but they weren't all finished really, so you have to wait until close to it's release to be able to get it.Hawq wrote: He probably meant divx & vcd copies, all 3 lotr films were shot back to back and no no-one will tell you were to get them (just pre-empting the lamers there).
BTW, it's possible he has a DVD rip because sometimes when companies make 2+ disc editions of something, they first disc is ready waaaay early, so they have time to work on the others. So it's just be a matter of if somebody was able to get ahold of a copy to pirate.
