Was this game any good? i heard mixed reviews. And can I still play it online?

Dont know about online, my DC aint got a modem, but the game is fun. If you see it cheap get it, dont be put off by the third person view either, it actually works OK.

Its a pretty solid title, a very very good conversion of the Naomi arcade version.

If you do get it make sure you change the control config though as the default setup is "odd".

As long as you change the controller set-up to D1 or have a mouse and keyboard you'll love it. As well as the usual "kick-shit-out-of-everything" attitude of normal FPS games there's mini-missions like protect the hostage.

If you're interested, it scored 92% on TotalGames. They said with online play it would have got 96% - Europe got screwed on the online side of things.

like was said, control set needs to be changed (and i think it was D1 as az_bont said that works best) and change 3rd person to first, then you've got a great arcade deathmatch game.

I picked it up last week. It's a nice game. I think this was the first FPS (except for the N64) that has nice control with the regular controller. I also use D1....

Graphics are ok. Bit arcade though (lots of colors).....
Europe can't get online with it. I didn't even know USA & JAP could.

there aint much peeps online but last time i went i found like 6 people but you can also have fun if you invite people. And to all you people who dont like the controls, i tried them and got used to them! i think they are good

I liked it, but it wasn't too hard. To tell you the truth, I liked the online play more than any other fps for the pc made before 2000. Only 10 people were on though. And last time I went online was christmas last year. So it was worth getting a while ago, but maybe not anymore.

Does anyone here have Outtrigger PAL version?

If you do, is your manual messed up?

The English section in mine skips from page 18 to 37 (or something like that), and then has some repeated English pages further through the manual.

Took me forever to figure out how to change the controller configuration... Thankfully, we have places like GameFAQs.

That's typical of PAL games. Very sloppy, especially the late releases. There are other games that have page skips and other such errors.

I loved this game. It was a blast to play online jwith 6 people. But its a very solid FPS. As said, just set your controls to D1. Good multiplayer split screen too. well worth picking it up!

Yep, your screwed Gyro. They use, IIRC, the sega software that nokia bought for the stupid ngage. If ever we need a petition, it should be to open source that crap or something. Could you guys imagine playing games like pod or alien front online, again? I would play all day with you people. Too bad it is long gone. Our only hope is for someone to homebrew something similar....

I got it, plan on playing it ever i get done the nomad soul. The demo was fun, so having the real game should be more fun. Might be one of the best FPS Out there.

Well i am sick of playing The Nomad Soul, getting too crazy with all the hard ass puzzle and trying to find this and that bs. So looks like i might be playing Outtrigger sometime tomorrow, bout to play Spawn in a few hours.
