Konami purchase the TMNT license again!

4Kids Entertainment, the worldwide agent and co-producer of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series, announced today that Konami has acquired the rights to develop and publish videogames based off of the new TMNT show which will debut on FOX BOX in 2003. FOX BOX is a saturday morning cartoon block designed for children by 4Kids Entertainment.

In the late 80s and early 90s, Konami earned the respect of TMNT fans worldwide by actually creating GOOD GAMES based off of the popular license. Over a dozen games were released across several platforms, and they grossed, total, over half-a-billion dollars.

The first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game will be ready for a Holiday 2003 release.

I owned TMNT 1 and 2 for NES. I remember playing the first one a lot! That game had a lot of challenge to it, and gave me LOTS of cussins even as a little kid. I remember renting one of those Turtles games for Genesis and it was super easy! I beat it like the first time I played it through. I got the Final Boss and I had 0 lives, no continues. I also only had 1 mark of life. I beat Super Shreader without getting hit even once!!

But yea all Ninja Turtle games owned! Id probably buy another one. TMNT would look good in cell-shaded graphics as a matter of fact.

When you think about, wouldn't you reckon the turtles would listen to something like punk over hip hop.... C'mon, they are fast past fucks, not slow dopey gangsters.

Given the nature of the show, I highly doubt its going to be an RTS or sports sim.....

unless sewer skateboarding is a sport.... hmmm.... actually.... a THPS type game where youre the turtles going through sewers and completing objectives by knocking over foot soldiers and stuff sounds pretty damn fun actually :?
