Dont you love it how your hard drive refuses to format when you re-install WinXP?
Hence leaving you without an OS on your PC

Lol, trust me to pick my day off to do somthing like this, i should have known my pc would'nt let me get away with a quick re-install, lucky i have my laptop for the time being till i get this sorted out

Did you boot it off the CD or did you start the installation through Windows?

I attempted to do it through Windows and realised i needed to do it through the cd to be able to format my comp, i poped the cd in and booted from cd. Then it gets to 20% and just stops.

Anyways i just put my original XP CD in not the slipstreamed one and it worked.

Now my slipstream cd is in there and its loading just fine.

The program access and defaults comes with sp3 for win2k. And i didnt notice my comp going any faster... (its fast to me anyways) <---my pentium 1 is quite powerfull compared to other pentium 1s....

ohh well... My opinion is that sp3 for win2k is the exact same thing as sp1 for xp.

winxp it's like microsofts way of saying were not a viruse
but its a failed its slow and drives me nuts most days waiting for folders to open or the old you cant del that file .some one is using it

get 98 se and run win98lite pro version and see some real speed

XP owns with the speed...

My computer is P3-933MHz 512MB RAM but still.... before I had the RAM upgrade I had P3-933MHz 128MB RAM and WinXP ran beautifully, Me and 98 ran like shit.

Well most likley right all though on 98 its 20 % faster its a crap machine any ways It's a " 850 mhz amd "pc chips" i built it to lol"

it's fine for playing GTA3 and pj64 one day ill upgrade again

i just bulit a 200mhz 50 meg 1 .2 gig hard drive and it feels faster then my 850 on winxp lol its running win98

its proven win 98 is faster then winxp on benchmarks i guess some hard ware dont like it and some does >?
