Ridge Racer 5 is so damn good. I was playing again today and relized its better then GT3 in so many ways. Like controls menus and graphics.

Ewww, when cornering releasing the accelerator should never make the car slide 90*.
I have also got the cars in RR5 going down the track sideways. On the straight parts. The physics is that schizophrenic you can have traction one second then slide for a full 10 seconds

I love the controls tho its easy. Speaking of which does anyone know about Wangan Midnight as it supposedly use's RR5 engine moded.

PS2 and its a lanuch game so dont exspect the best graphics ever.

The graphics are alright, but suffer from some flicker and alaising issues. The game is alright in my opinion but something such as Daytona I find a lot better if you want some fast racing fun. The controls in RR5 really just put me off; they are easy but the car just doesn't handle like it should

Hey does it play like ridge racer type4 or rage racer they were the best racing games on the psx

blah! gt2 gt3 the game is dead set boring buy cars fix cars race to buy more cars i love version one after that it was over for me

i payed $107 for gt 1 and thought they ripped them self off its that good

version 2 sucked badly all these games no damage on the cars blah!!
ps2 version has no speed

Is running in to a wall at 200kmh with no damage realistic and bouncing off gt says it is lol

so saying ridge racer is off is silly gt you can bounce off walls with no effect silly

so its fine that ridge racer games you can have fun and slide ridge racer ............is not a sim its a arcade racer

I bought gt1 the first day it came out thats like way back before there was........... a dreamcast.. It was $107 then for eg some ps2 games sell for that now here in aus

So back then it was amazing and looked like you got your psx upgraded for free

hey i bought my first psx for$799 the day they put them out etc

And the snes was $399 when it first come out

this is australian money btw

My RR5 came bundled with my PS2 about a year ago. I think that RR5 is boring. I hardly ever touched it.
