Re: Sonic Forces
Unless SEGA is hiding some great new gameplay mechanic, this will be the twelfth Sonic game where he haphazardly runs through a 3D set piece. I can't wait to find out what stupid story they've slapped on this game, which will very likely suck.
EDIT: Holy shit, are those explosions really, really loud for everyone else?

Re: Sonic Forces
Looks fucking shit. They keep going round in circles between this gameplay and some kind of spin-off that's even more awful.
I'd love to hear what cube_b3 thinks but we'll probably have to wait until he cleans all the cum off his keyboard.
Not much voice acting shown off - which is a serious concern.

Re: Sonic Forces
^ Don't be an asshole.
The game is like whatever, they tried something different with Lost Worlds. It didn't work economically. So they have seemingly regressed to a more comfortable state.
I don't need to say I preferred the comparatively more explorable Adventure style gameplay asI don't see it making a come back ever. Also since Colors, i've started to feel to old for Sonic and now at 29, I don't really care.

Re: Sonic Forces
They nailed 3d sonic as good as he can get I think with colors and generations.
Although this small clip looks very linear, hopefully they still have the branching paths of generations.
I think they should take a note from planet whisp. Sonic works best in worlds that are not based so much on reality. For the same reason the new Mario looks so weird in NY or where it is. Planet whisp was by far the most beautiful 3d sonic stage and was fun to play.
I'm interested in this game, but my heart is waiting for sonic mania.

Re: Sonic Forces
It's unfathomable to me that people buy Sonic games in 2017. You can literally play anything you like, thousands and thousands of games of every conceivable genre, incredible experiences that stretch the boundaries of what gaming can be. What possible justification could you have to spend your valuable free time playing more of this joyless dog shit?
Obviously like every normal red blooded male I'm excited by all the erotic Amy Rose fanfiction and art that will inevitably pop up after this releases though.

Re: Sonic Forces
Seriously, who the fuck even buys this shit?
I don't understand how this sells. I mean, it must be selling enough for them to keep making them? Right?
Does Sonic actually have a following among kids? Or is it some subset of adults that are childlike?

I'd like to say I'm disappointed, but it's exactly what I expected..
Tom Kalinske also recently made remarks in an interview how he was surprised about wtf Sega of Japan is doing to Sonic. He was especially shocked when he saw a "black Sonic with guns"

Re: Sonic Forces
I assume this means Sonic Boom is dead? It's on season 2 now but will be wrapped up before this car crash comes out. And Forces doesn't use the Boom rebooted characters.
It feels like Sonic is the only thing Sega's got left and they have no idea what to do with him.
I don't know either. Feels really outdated now like the old school big tits Lara Croft before her 2 recent reboots.
Sonic Boom shows you can't really reboot a blue hedgehog though.

Uh oh, I don't think SEGA is ready for what DeviantArt and the furries are going to do with this.

Re: Sonic Forces
>Sonic Boom
Speaking of which, I just saw this video that speculates on how it could fail so hard. Seems it was, what a surprise... bad management. It was supposed to be on PS4/XBone, but Sega made a deal with Nintendo, so BRB had to move it to the Wii U - without a deadline change. So the graphics were pared down to the much weaker hardware, a ton of content got cut, and even the combat system was hugely simplified.

He talks too low, I got tired of trying to understand what he's talking with all the background music playing at a slightly higher volume.Stormwatch wrote:>Sonic Boom

Re: Sonic Forces
smh utterly disappointed..again. it could be worse but better to not touch sonic when you can't make a decent game out of it. if they want sonic to die, at least let sonic die with dignity
