Re: DCEmu Decides the POTUS Election, Post-Primary Edition
At the moment, this race reminds me of the 1992 Louisiana gubernatorial election. It was Republican former KKK leader David Duke vs. highly corrupt, disgusting Democrat Edwin Edwards. Edwards ended up winning, then went to prison afterwards.DaMadFiddler wrote:...I am so very angry and frustrated right now.
On the one hand, Clinton and the DNC completely deserve everything that is happening to them, and the bullshit HAS to end at some point. This is what happens when you corrupt the process and then thumb your nose at the very people you're supposed to be representing. The protesters are rightfully furious.
But on the other hand, we *ARE* trapped in a two-party system, there *ISN'T* a viable way out before this election, and when your choice is essentially between Richard Nixon and Benito Mussolini, you'd better fucking vote for Nixon, even if he is a scumbag.
Clinton deserves to lose. But honestly, we CANNOT afford to let Trump win.
And remember: if no candidate gets >50% of the electoral college, then the (Tea Party-led) House of Representatives gets to decide.
I hate the world right now.
Vote Johnson or Stein.
At this point, Trump and Clinton are equally bad to me. Clinton we know will be terrible, Trump is a wildcard who will very much most likely be terrible.
It's thinking...

Can we even vote for Jill Stein and the other parties?

Pakistan can't vote in US elections.

Your location says Karachi. If the location on your profile is incorrect, you're facing a potential ban.

Re: DCEmu Decides the POTUS Election, Post-Primary Edition
The way Mr. Trump was treated in that debate was shameful Killary got personal almost immediately when she wasn't robotically reciting her script. And that moderator was completely in the tank for her. Plus the way she kept addressing Mr. Trump by his first name was completely disrespectful. Mr. Trump should decline to participate in the next one until she agrees to debate fairly (ha!) and until they get a better moderator, someone like Milo Yiannopoulos.

She was wearing a wire and making hand signals to the moderator to chime in and back her up the whole time...
Fitting - NBC Universal has made many generous donations to the Clintons.
Such collusion must be necessary, right? It's not like the Democrats have any power or influence. It's just their way of fighting back against those evil conservatives that dominate the majority of government, media/culture, academia, and Fortune 500 corporations with their vast right-wing conspiracy.
Consider me deplorable.

Jeez... Why isn't Evan McMullin on the poll‽

Re: DCEmu Decides the POTUS Election, Post-Primary Edition
The wire was because Hillary died after the pneumonia incident. She actually had end-stage lung cancer and the campaign had a body double ready to replace her, but they didn't have time to properly prepare the double for the debate. Hence the hand signals and wire. You can tell the double wasn't really Hillary because she didn't cough once. You cough a lot when you have lung cancer.

Evan McMullin doesn't even have his name on enough ballots to make it to the 270 to win. Although he may end up winning Utah...BlueCrab wrote:Jeez... Why isn't Evan McMullin on the poll‽

Re: DCEmu Decides the POTUS Election, Post-Primary Edition
Neither does Darrell Castle, unless you include states where he's an allowed write-in (207 EVs without write-in, 406 with). If you're including states where people are write-ins, then Evan McMullin does qualify (329 EVs represented with write-in status).|darc| wrote:Evan McMullin doesn't even have his name on enough ballots to make it to the 270 to win. That, and as you pointed out, he actually has a real shot of winning Utah.
EDIT: Heck, FiveThirtyEight just put up an article yesterday giving the reasons why Evan McMullin is likely the third-most likely person to win the Presidency out of this election. Sure, they don't argue he has any chance of hitting 270 EVs, but they do argue that if he were to win Utah and cause a deadlock in the Electoral College that he'd have a legitimate chance to win if it went to the House of Representatives. Sure, that's exceedingly unlikely (538 gives the range of potential EV counts for Trump to cause Utah going to McMullin to cause a deadlock at 1.7-2.4%, which is much more likely than a straight 269-269 deadlock at 0.4%), but still.

Re: DCEmu Decides the POTUS Election, Post-Primary Edition
Well, I actually have a bulletproof answer to why Evan McMullin isn't on the poll: this poll was created on August 6, and Evan McMullin announced his candidacy on August 8.BlueCrab wrote:Neither does Darrell Castle, unless you include states where he's an allowed write-in (207 EVs without write-in, 406 with). Regardless, I've added him to the poll. Enjoy.
[Edit: Ugh, adding another poll option reset the poll numbers to 0. Thanks a lot, BlueCrab.]

And, I suppose that was a good reason. Ya should've said so earlier.

I'm just afraid that if that ugly hate-filled old hag manages to steal this election, God will finally turn His back on this country once and for all. Electing a Muslim was strikes one and two. Directly violating Scripture (1 Timothy 2:12) will be the end of us.
