I log my char is gone

Sylverant is a homebrew open source server for Phantasy Star Online. Dreamcast users still play PSO online with this server even today! This is the official forum for both the online game server as well as the open source project itself. Feel free to post and get a gathering started online! We can also show you how to get connected!

PSO for PC saves the characters on the client side, as do all versions of PSO other than Blue Burst. There is no way on those versions to move your full character data between different machines.

You mean, someone made a new char on an already created char?
The game asks (when creating a char in a slot that is taken) if you are sure that you want to continue.
If your friend said yes then the old char is lost.

I'm talking about PSO v2, but since i see the word "account" i'm not really sure if thats the game your talking about.
There is no way on those versions to move your full character data between different machines.
I'm not so sure, my starting point was when smith/muse gave me savefiles that contained all npcs of the game, i can still use them and my created chars begin at slot 59 or so.

This isn't true, but it does take some configuration for it to work. Once you install PSO on the second computer, you need to register using the same serial number, access key, and e-mail address you used on the first computer. Once you do that, create a new dummy character and go online. Once you're in the lobby, quit and save, then close PSO. In the PhantasyStarOnline/Backup folder, delete PSO_COM, PSO_FLS, PSO_GUD, PSO_SYD, and PSO_SYS. Copy those five files from the first PC's Backup folder to the second PC's Backup folder, and you'll be able to use the same characters on both machines.
