Good Android tablet under $200?
I'm thinking of investing in a tablet. Not for anything special, just something I can browse the net with and watch videos while I'm chilling away from the PC or at work. I don't need it for work/games, I have a PC for that. Trying to keep it at or under $200.
Was considering this: Amazon.com: ARNOVA 10 - Tablet - Linux with Google Android 2.1 - 4 GB - 10" TFT ( 1024 x 600 ) - front camera - miniSD slot - Wi-Fi: Computer & Accessories
Any suggestions?
Edit: fixed title

While I can't recommend one, I would recommend spending more coin and avoiding resistive touchscreens - especially if you want to browse the web in any convenient manner. Even if you prefer styli to fingers.
Also, can you update that version of Android? 2.1 is old now and newer (better, worthwhile) versions may not work.

People have been hacking the nook color to use as a tablet.

Guys, I've got a nook color just sitting at home doing nothing, does anyone know if there are any hacks available for it?

I think Smiley said there was a hack for the nook colour, however I could be mistaken.

I got the viewsonic gTab for about $240. Its fairly good. 10 inch screen, nvidea graphics, 16 gigs of storage plus a spot for a micro sd. The thing was originally 500 for something obscene and it sold poorly so supplies are being liquidated. Its a good specced tab for the dollars.

Seriously though, judging from some of the articles and reviews I've read, people seem to still be waiting for a "good Android tablet" at any price. I guess it depends on your definition of "good".everybody else wrote:Nook Color and ViewSonic Gtab $250 LOL
Nook Color and ViewSonic Gtab $250 LOL

As Cyber said, it's going to depend on your definition of good. Another one you might look at is the Velocity Micro Cruz.
Re: Good Android tabler under $200?
I read something about the Nook color running Android. I don't have any proof to back up that claim as of right now.

It does, my coworker bought one for this specific purpose. He let me play with it and I didn't really like the slowness of it though.bizzle wrote:I read something about the Nook color running Android. I don't have any proof to back up that claim as of right now.
