Hey guys, last night my most memorable Dreamcast died... the one i bought on 9.9.99 and was working better than any other console I've had... anyway, what happened is that the GDR motor died, or something... The lens still moves searching for the tracks but the disk wont spin, it tries at the beginning, and moves a little then it stops.
Do you guys have any experience with this?
Do you know about a compatible motor?
or a way to fix it?
thanks in advance!!!

Re: GDR motor resurrection?
I believe Lik-Sang.com used to offer them, but everyone knows they're gone now...
A quick Google search only came up with these, http://triplemoonstar.brinkster.net/seg ... subcat=115 , http://www.giz10p.co.uk/electronic-part ... at_44.html .
Both seem to be distributers from the UK, and it looks like they cater towards the arcade GD-ROM replacement parts.
I'd say get another DC with a failed lens, if you can find one. Maybe ebay?
