*NEW* 16-bit game by SEGA of Japan

In the works for two years, SEGA of Japan is about to release a new 16-bit arcade game: It's a remake of the Master System exclusive Fantasy Zone II running on Sega's System 16 arcade hardware, which is what the original Fantasy Zone used when it's been released in 1985, and after which they modeled the Mega Drive / Genesis hardware in 1988.

Playable Fantasy Zone II DX demo for Win32:

FZ2 DX's Trial Version was released 1st Sep, 2008. You can try to set game keys or change screen size by pressing F1. The game supports joypads.

Yeah, afaik, this is the very first commercial 16-bit game to be specifically developed to be released via emulation. I really wonder what they will do with that concept in the future. A new Mega Drive / Genesis game would rock. I think there are quite a few people that would kill for a new Streets of Rage... :grin:
