But happy 10th anniversary to those who still come here. Remember when sonic was only 10 and still playable?
I am delighted to see some of my posts from years past have been bumped recently. To those who don't post on BG, who were around at a similar time to me: I hope you are taking care of yourselves and have enjoyed the past 10 years and enjoy the next 10.
Love, ian. Aka FIREWIRE1394

Re: so I missed the exact day...
It's crazy. It was eleven years ago that I was a sophomore in high school. I got my DC for my birthday in May. I played the crap out of JGR that summer. But I real reason I bought the DC was emulators. I saw an article in Electronic Gaming Monthly that showed NesterDC. I took me a few hours via command line on my Dad's iMac, but when I got that first disc to work, I was estatic. The NES was/is my favorite system. I joined these forums, but couldn't log in because I selected a broken theme. So I joined ConsoleVision (rip) first.

I joined because I never owned a SNES and wanted to play some of the great SNES games of the day. DreamSNES...well, it was pretty shit, but I have fond memories of staying up all night playing classic JRPGS at about 15fps.
