This thread made my day. I immediately searched around for it on torrent sites, and found a pack named "PLAYCASTION 3 v0.02beta RC0.5 WITH MORTAL KOMBAT PS3 BETA".

The fact that they turned the game into a beat-em-up and that the beta still uses the classic sprites as placeholders for the game's characters is a bit boring, but now I'm confident that this emu will be able to run the full game when it comes out, and can't wait. Thanks!!

This is a PLAYSTATION 3 EMULATOR, you fucking idiot. Does the PlayStation 3 play LPs? No? Then why would this emulator?


Btw, Boney... the bug tracker seems to be down at the moment... but for some reason when I play Metal Gear Solid 4, I am getting HD output? I'm hooked up through my VGA box and I'm getting 1080p output on my HDTV. It's only running at about 20 frames per second, but I thought you weren't going to be implementing HD support anytime soon. Is this a surprise feature?

When can we expect compatibility with my PS3 Laserdisc backups? I've got my originals stored in a climate controlled vault in Cheyenne Mountain that totally weren't downloaded from 2,500 referral links from a GeoCities page made by a 14 year old who used FrontPage 97 and every animated gif available on his clipart floppies?

Oh and CBHD discs? I really, really miss being able to watch the latest movies not yet out in theaters with hard Mandarin subtitles with Engrish subtitles superimposed over the Mandarin. You had this feature available in an earlier leaked beta that I got by hacking into Echelon's private FTP.
