Anyone play this game? I just started the other day and I'm about four hours in and I'm hooked. If anyone wants to play let me know and we'll do some quests.

Heh, I just came back from Best Buy with it. Jeeba has it and we're gonna start playing together.

Awesome. Let me know when you're playing. I'm a level 5 Elementalist and my second profession is a Necromancer. My CS:S clan has a Ventrilo server so if you have a headset or a mic we can use that and play together.

Is it just me, or does it seem that every MMORPG is based on middle-ages? There needs to be more variety. The only two MMORPGs I know of that aren't in that era are City Of Heroes and Matrix Online. I'm almost tempted to get City Of Heroes just to break the barrier and be able to use weapons besides just swords and axes.

COH is fucking awesome. The best mmo I've played.

COH is fudging awesome. The best mmo I've played.

I just looked at it and almost bought it becuase it's only $30 at GoGamer.. then I saw you need to pay to play it. Eff That. $15 a month to play a game is highway robbery.

There are lots that aren't; star wars galaxies, EVE online, planetside (arguably doesn't count), WW2 Online, Anarchy Online, it just seems to be all of the most successful ones that have a fantasy setting.

Yup. The way guild wars works is whenever they put out an expansion (which costs the same ammount as the full game, and is supposed to have just as much content), you have to buy it. I think.

That's pretty much paying as you play imho. Well. It isn't if you dont want to play the expansions. I like just grabbing a 60mb update and being able to go into the new parts of Paragon City without having to worry about buying a new game.

That is by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Lets trade a $50 game for a game that you can find for $5 in bargin bins.
