How big are the Gamecube disk's?

not the size but how many mb's can they store cuz if they are anything like the n64 cartridges then that sux majorly.

yeah, its a good guess. Those lil 3cm disks can hold 1.5GB.

If I remember correctly 4 gigs.

I think Xbox's DVD-9's hold 9 gigs.... don't quote me on that though

Dual Sided dvd's hold 9 gigs.

Xbox games are dual layered (same thing i think?) so Im pretty sure 9 gigs is correct.

are the drives for xbox's 3inch disks only? if so its quite clever of microsoft to do this, its gonna be a bitch to copy the games onto a cd now unless sum1 develops an external cd drive styla thing (usb anyone?)

no, the xbox uses normal sized dvd disks (cause you can play dvd movies on it as well) normal dvd disks (like dvd movies and such) can't fit in the gamecube (nintendo's anyway)

I'm pretty sure X-Box DVDs are 5GB? I'm not sure... I think the limit for DVDs is around 16GB with a duel side/duel layer disk

GAMECUBE's discs hold 1.5 gigs, normal DVDs can hold anywhere from 1 to about 14 gigs or so. XBOX DVD-9 discs hold up to 7 gigs. Educated guesses...

Imagine how much high quality divx video you could stick onto one of those bad boys.

For the dvd media i have seen, the max is 4.7 gigs per side, tho i would be surprised if they stopped there. I think dvd's will probably hit 20 gigs/disc before they find some new medium to work with.
