I'm from Canada, so it's a requirement for me to watch it ;) Seriously, I think it's a good game, though depending on what strategies the teams are playing it can be pretty boring. (the Neutral Zone Trap killed the game)

Whoops, I was multiplying instead of adding...my bad. Did a little looking and it seems that the GPU runs 1.8Tflops, and if we assume 8 instructions per core per cycle, that's another 0.2Tflops. Mystery solved. that would get you to the 2 Tflop number, but sony and ibm claim that cell is capable of...

ender, why would i want to multiply my answer by 2^7? (128 by the way) i might want to multiply it by two, since each core MIGHT do two ops per clock tick, but no way it can do 128 ops per cycle seems like someone got their math mixed up, if a core can do X times more ops per clock then 1, you mult...

for anyone who doesnt believe my and BA's story about the cell not being the 7 full cored superpower sony is making it out to be, read the next few articles over at ars technica, they describe the vector units, and how they are not equal to a full blown cpu core Didn't say I didn't believe you, jus...

But Epic aren't really doing much with the hardware at the moment. Basically, they've just ported their existing engine (which is already highly portable, and very fast). All those vector units are sitting there doing absolutely nothing. All of the real work is being done by the graphics hardware, ...

Well, first you need to figure out how to build a workable E/M field to trap the laser, using today's battery technology...

After that it'd be easy.

My brother's headunit (AIWA something) has a headphone jack style input on the front so you can plug stuff like that into it easily. When I went stereo shopping I specifically went looking for one like that...and bought it. You just can't knock the convenience of being able to plug in a MD player, ...

But that isn't the reason that piracy was such a big problem, and it was really the biggest reason that led to the death of the Dreamcast. There are other things that go into it. If I could say what I know, it would make a lot more sense easily to everyone... But I can't, sorry. Alright, I think I ...

It was piracy, period. I can't talk about it publicly either, but I can guarantee that is the reason the DC died and support dried up. Trust me -- those of us who can't publicly talk about things that we know but have done actual releases may just have some sort of inside track to this... and becau...

THeoretically possible, but not without a fairly significant performance (FPS) drop. That and it'd just be a pain in the ass to do.

I believe that I will answer this with a couple of sound bites: The key to maturity is knowing when you have to be mature, and being able to be immature the rest of the time. Life has the meaning that you give it. If objectively life has no meaning, but you feel that it does, it gains meaning becaus...

Depends how into the whole celtic thing she is really. Celtic knots are a very personal thing, and if she's one of those people who'll go find the meaning of the specific knot on the bracelet, you may run into trouble. The trivial pursuit is the safe, easy choice, but the celtic bracelet could get y...

Zelda 64

Ok, so I'd heard that the Gamecube disc with OoT and MM were emulated versions of the N64 games. I was kind of interested in getting the GC version so that I can get rid of my N64 (as those are the only games I have that are keeping the N64 around). Anybody know if there are emulation glitches, or i...

There is no such thing as 100% because that would imply that we are doing graphics only, or math only. To be fair/realistic, one has to assume a balanced situation where a game is using each subsystem equally well. Sega engineers knew this which is why they said Dreamcast has a "peak performan...
