Gift Ideas anyone?

Post by compacho »

To help any stumped holiday shoppers such as myself, please post any gift ideas that most people would love. Anything that doesn't use computers or internet would be nice.

I'll go first. I bought this for new mothers in my family: http://www.smoy.net/collection.htm

How about music CDs? Nice, inexpensive, easy to trade if you don't like the one you got... just be sure that it's not a DRM'ed disc!

Not really a gift idea, but I'm getting my mom an alarm clock. When she needs to wake up early; she's taking the only phone in the house into her room to use the wake up call service or whatever you call it.
So, I'm buying her the alarm clock not because she needs it - I just wanna use the phone!

I bought my mom a purple sweater and some white mittens, a hat, and a scarf and I bought my dad a headset for his cellphone because he's scary when he's driving and talking on the phone.

Well you were the one who always taught them to look for a good deal! An album on CD costs $300,000 to make, but a movie on DVD cost $100 million. That's 33,233% more value per disk! You're the bargain hunter, which would you choose?
By that reasoning, Battlefield Earth is a much better movie than Sin City. :?

I think magazine subscriptions are a very under-rated gift.

Underwear and Socks.

They are the two things people seem to wear out and/or need more then anything else.

Hey, that's actually not bad. My mom has been gaining much interest in the national geographic channel lately. Maybe I should get her a subscription to that magazine too. Thanx.

Whatever you end up getting, just make sure you don't get it from WalMart.
