Despite registering this particular account yesterday, I've not only been an avid Dreamcast emulation nut from the beginning, but I have been with this site pretty much from the beginning. I hate to see it go, and I really hope it makes a comeback. Aside from Blue Guerilla, this is easily the best and most dedicated board community on the web. It also happens to be the only other community or boards site that I've registered with (the other being Blue Guerilla). I'm definitely going to miss it. I hope that most, if not all, of DCEmu's members migrate over to Blue Guerilla so that the legacy goes on.

I actually am planning on doing just that. We have family there and my neice always asks me to come visit them.
Ive probably said it a few times before, but I always keep coming back here as this place was quite special to me. I posted a lot, but lurked a lot more. I hang out at CheapAssGamer now for dumb video game discussions, and have visited a few other places, but none was as insane and awesome as this community.
I started posting here, I think around the age 14 and I'm 25 now. I still have my dreamcast collection, sadly boxed away. I recently sold off all my retro game collection since I graduated university and moved to Japan. I couldn't bring myself to sell off my dreamcast, and still purchase the indie games that are released for it. Eventually when I am more settled in I'll have my big collection of dreamcast stuff shipped over here (which in the end is quite ironic since a lot I imported from Japan in the first place.) Selling my older game stuff netted me some good cash, but I felt a bit sad doing so as I was finally selling off the last of my childhood. The dreamcast stuff itself, as lame as it sounds, does mean a lot to me as it was the last of what I consider classic video game consoles, before sony changed the game of what a game console is. I was playing Shenmue again for the first time in many many many years, a long with jet grind radio before I moved here. I hope to pick em up again.
Regardless, I am going off onto a random tangent on my own gaming obsessions. What I am trying to say is, all my time growing up as a teenager, the posts I read of many of you going through some of the same shit. It was interesting having so many outside perspectives from many of you who were the same age and discovering your own interests and passions in life as I was too. I still follow any sort of dreamcast scene new and such, and look forward to seeing what has happened to all of you in life. I'll never truly leave this place, or give a official "goodbye I'm done" speech. But my presence here will be what it is for most of you probably, jumping in to see if something new was posted about.
Keep on posting when anything comes to mind, its always great to hear from you all.
It's quite awesome. I studied at University there until the Earthquake happened back in 2011. Stupid Texas government made me come home even though I was no where near any of the problems. I got a job teaching English, it's an amazing job and it's what I have always wanted to do. After I pay off my student loans and such I want to return to University again here and maybe become a college professor here one day. If anyone here ever makes their way over to Japan I'd be sure to meet up some DCemu strangers lol.
Boney is just a stones throw away in the grand scheme on things, though his place of domicile and mine are having their nonsense arguments about island control still.
On a Dreamcast related note, I still go into all second hand and game shops to see what I can scope out for dreamcast stuff. My best find though was back in Yamagata when I was at University here. Found a complete in box samba de amigo maracas, only 105yen. Those things had some pretty neat technology to them once I used em.
