It's coming along very well. Here's a list of features that have been implemented thus far:Cmtz wrote:So how is SF comming along?
* Browse CD to load ROM from any directory. Yes, you can use the DreamSNES CD.
* Adjust game screen position and size
* Toggle bilinear filtering
* Toggle Frame Rate Display
* Toggle auto frameskip or set frame skip to a number 0-5
* Toggle the use of the D-Pad or analog stick for SNES D-Pad input
* Save above settings to VMU. Loads automatically on next load.
That's it for now. I'm working on the theme system right now. I might also implement single game boot before the true first release. I want to get all these little features done before the first release so that I can work on speed for the second release.

Nope, that's something you'll have to test for me and if it doesn't work I'll try to get my hands on an identical VMU.Arek wrote:scherzo, have you been able to test saving with non-sega VMUs/memcards? I don't have access to a sega vmu, and a lot of DC homebrew games out there have save code that won't work with what I have.

That's interesting. Which games work for your VMU? I suspect anything using a vmu file header might be the downfall.Arek wrote:scherzo, have you been able to test saving with non-sega VMUs/memcards? Does Defendguin or Vectoroids work for you?

Thankfully Sega VMUs are pretty cheap now. I'm probably gonna have to pick another one up soon.
Mastakilla: What about those of us with a full-face label maker? Like the Avery Afterburner labeling system?

I haven't tried many homebrew games yet, mostly emus and doom/quake. I do know that DreamSNES works, and that NesterDC does not. I've also got a port of Doom that supports saving but doesn't work with my "vmu" (a performance rumblepack plus). I'll try defendguin and vectoroids and see if they work.WillSams wrote:That's interesting. Which games work for your VMU? I suspect anything using a vmu file header might be the downfall.

Yes, they are, and I just got one off of eBay cheap. On the other hand, as cheap as they are, not everybody can afford one, and there may come a time when they aren't as commonly available as they are now, so I'd like to see as many games/emus supporting non-sega VMUs as possible.Alexvrb wrote:Thankfully Sega VMUs are pretty cheap now.
