Vote for the Monkey with the maracas!

Post by Caleb »

HOLY Kotaku article batman!

http://kotaku.com/gaming/sega/sega-fanb ... 242146.php

Sega is actually running a site that lets fans vote on what games should go on to the Wii.

Choices are limited to

NiGHTS
Streets of Rage
Samba de Amigo
Virtua Cop
Flicky

Right now NiGHTS is winning...

But Samba de Amigo should get a real chance! Please vote for your favorite at this site!

As a Saturn fan and a Dreamcast lover I cannot tell you who I voted for...(Except it involves a monkey and maracas!)

The poll is on SEGA's main site...

Current results:

NiGHTS .................. 1159 ..... 54%
Streets of Rage ........ 450 ..... 21%
Samba de Amigo ...... 302 ..... 14%
Virtua Cop ............... 180 ....... 8%
Flicky ........................ 38 ....... 2%

Total Number of Responses: 2129

And the poll does not specify any console, or if it is a sequel or re-release...

Nor if they'll start working based on the poll results (like some might assume :| )

I'd certainly way rather see NiGHTS than Samba De Amigo myself.

Who knows, they might even do a good job if it.

Certainly not a re-release, since Virtua Cop was ported for numerous systems and Streets of Rage is on the Virtual Console.

Agreed. I'm sure a Samba style game will come along anyway. But NiGHTS... that's a different story.

I'd like to see both Nights and Samba de Amigo eventually come to the wii in either sequels or whatever.

Streets of Rage here. Then again, I know that if they do a new SoR they definitly will do every tiny little aspect wrong that they could possibly do and instead of a cell-shaded 2D side-scroller for Wii, we'll get some 3D one-on-one fighter for PS3.

Well, Final Fight Revenge wasn't so bad, I actually liked it.

Last time Sega had an intresting Poll...

We got Shadow The Hedgehog.

If we have a poll right now then the answer will be something that is already in development regardless of the votes.

Virtua Cop 3 is already in the arcades and I have no idea why they haven't ported it to any system, I played it and it was just as good as all the series. This should be the most likely one to get released for a console.

Nights had a prototype which I belive eventually changed into Samba De Amigo, atleast that's what I read somewhere.

Streets of Rage on the other hand had a lot of work done on it for the 32-bit era and some work on the 6th generation before it was shot down all together.
Beats Of Rage got a lot of attention to SOR series. I have to vote for this one.

Now whose Flicky?

I have no idea, but I bet it's related to the birds in Sonic 3D Blast.

Also wasn't Sonic 3D also called Flicky's Island or something?

EDIT:
This must be what I'm thinking of
Sonic 3D Blast: Flickies' Island (originally titled Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island in Europe, the UK, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and retitled Sonic 3D Blast in North America) is an isometric platform game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

It's a new, different poll. "Which Sega arcade game was your fave?"

Funny they list some games in the polls results while I wasn't able to click them.
You feel at ease as you flock with the masses,
What do you see with your heads in their asses?
Keep on railing at what I believe,
Call me insane and I am proud to be.
