Feet Of Fury, or whatever it's called

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Feet Of Fury, or whatever it's called

Post by Celauve »

Anybody know of this homebrewed game? It's kinda like DDR, I like it a lot. It's just, the site I got it from says the final release is yet to come, and I see no links to the main site. Does anybody know if they have finished the game yet?

Yes, they have finished it.

It's not free like the demo was, (and I haven't ordered mine yet  ) but I hear great things about it.

How reliable of a site are they to buy from? I'm just trying to make sure I'll actually get a copy when I order one.

I haven't heard anyone complaining that they haven't go what they paid for. You can also order from lik-sang if you prefer.

True. Lik-Sang has the same prices the GOAT store has. Don't worry, though. The GOAT store has had no complaints lodged against it at all. They are reliable as you'll get from a Internet based co.

Thanks for your support!

I have ordered a copy of Feet of Fury from the GOAT store and have received it in great condition. Also, if you order from the GOAT store, ask for a signed copy under the comments section when you are ordering, and you will receive a copy signed by Dan Potter and Roddy Toomim(DJGeki). There's only 100 signed copies, so be quick :)
It's thinking...

You know, I'm pretty sure that Dan and I have the only signed copies left now. You can email the GOAT store and ask them if they've got any left, or leave a msg on the CA Games forums. I'm sure there will be other people that want to know that too. Might as well be semi-public info.

The signed one went for 50 bucks to a guy in Ireland. Pretty damn good if you ask me. I wasn't expecting more than $30 for it, to tell the truth.

We could just sign more copies, but we've made a gentlemen's agreement not to do that. It would totally invalidate the purchases of all the early adopters. We wanted to do something a little extra special for those people...plus give a little incentive to sell out the first 100 copies faster.

How compatible are swap discs? I would buy it if I knew I could make a good one from something like DWI, or what not. I know the demo couldn't though. No offense to the artists on the disc or anything, they're fine, but most of the songs I like are of different styles.

How compatible are they? Well, FoF Swap discs are compatible with FoF and that's about it. They can be quite tough to make, but with a bit of experimentation, they'll work. There's a tutorial on the FoF website (http://www.feetoffury.com), but some people have thought it to be a bit too confusing.

Anyway, download the preview beta, and make some swap CDs using it as your test bed. The code in the final version is more stable, but if you can make a swap CD that works with the beta, it'll work in the final version. Sound good?
