Final Fantasy 1 hack - looking for... (BC?)

Post by I.M. Weasel »

I posted this here instead of the games forum, cause it might get more hits.

Im looking for a Final Fantasy 1 hack (or DW1,2,3 hack) that removes the white flashing screen 'visual' that takes place whenever you cast a spell. Not the actual spells animation, just the white screen flashing..its present in FF1, DW1,2,3 and a few other older NES rpgs. Mainly a single hack for FF, not a multi game one.

Ive read up a bit on rom hacks, but this seems like such a weird thing it wouldnt be as easy to do myself than replacing sprites, text or chainging around maps. But also I have never done any romhacking.

Anyone have any info on helping me find this?

I would suggest asking at romhacking.net--they're into that kind of stuff. ;) Here is something that's similar.
It's thinking...
