Re: [GC] Altimira

Now that some people have noticed a change in Garon's Shop, I must sadly post this update. Several people have been continuing to abuse the shop system by amassing piles of rares elsewhere, spamming mostly Lost HEAT SWORD as a low effort way to gain access to the shop to sell their most valuable rar...

Re: [GC] Patch Batch

The Keyboard Patch is out now. This patch remaps the Japanese keyboard layout to a standard US QWERTY layout. Note that there is a different patch depending upon whether you use a keyboard controller, Devolution, Nintendont, or Dolphin. Make sure you select the correct patch version to get the best ...

Re: [GC] Altimira

In order to improve the convenience factor, I've updated the Garon voucher system to store the vouchers on the server. The new system works like so: Each voucher is good for 5 items. You can buy or redeem a voucher for 1000 Meseta or 3 Garon points. You can have up to 200 vouchers for each type of i...

Re: Character backup files PSO PC

Your saves are in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\PhantasyStarOnline\Backup if you have the UAC enabled. Copy PSO___ COM, FLS, GUD, SYD, SYS to preserve your characters. As long as you use the same serials on the new PC, your old characters will load. You will...

Re: Are online drop rates and drop tables the same as offline?

Yes, but the EP rates are very easy to compensate for the fact that you can only get rares in freeplay. The EP rates are way too good if you can hunt items in quests.

Re: [GC] Patch Batch

The Chat Patch has been updated to version 1.1. The update adds the ability to skip over NPC dialogue by holding the B button. Not only does this let you skip tiresome dialogue very quickly, but it also spares your A button from extra wear and tear. Naturally, you can still use the A button to advan...

Try asking on the Dreamcast-Talk forum. They play DC games like Quake fairly often.

Re: Unable to see other teams

Are you using V1? V2 has the ability to create teams that only other V2 players can see. V1 is extremely limited, so it's a good idea to get V2 so you can access the end-game content. V1 and V2 also cannot see GC teams, so if people are playing GC, their teams will also be invisible to you while you...

Re: Are online drop rates and drop tables the same as offline?

I think he's talking about GC, since he mentioned Yamato. GC drops rares in quests both online and offline. GC currently doesn't have the option to use server-side drops on Sylverant, so you're always using the base client rates.

Re: A Newbie With Some Questions

Yeah, somebody apparently swapped the case on you, so the code on the sticker is not valid for your game. You either have to use a shared serial or buy another copy with a valid serial, unfortunately...

Re: [GC] Patch Batch

After nearly three years of work, I'm proud to announce the release of the Bugfix Patch (again?!). The initial release fixes 36 different bugs of varying levels of severity. NOTE: If you downloaded the faulty release from two days ago, you'll need to roll back your ISO before you apply the updated p...

Re: 2 dreamcasts, 2 dreampi, 1 ISP, no simultaneous connection ?

Judging by that other thread linked on DC-T, it appears the pi has a static IP, so you need to go into the configuration scripts on one pi and change the IP from .98 to say .99 in order to use two pi's at the same time. I don't know which script has the static IP address, though.

Re: 2 dreamcasts, 2 dreampi, 1 ISP, no simultaneous connection ?

You might want to ask on Dreamcast-Talk. I use a BBA, so I have no idea what steps you'd need to take to make two DreamPis work at the same time, assuming it's even possible.

Re: [GC] Patch Batch

The Decoction Patch is out now. This patch lets you reset your consumed materials (except HP/TP) by using a Decoction. You can buy a Decoction for one Photon Drop from Paganini on Altimira if you have the patch. After you reset your materials, your stats will decrease as if you had never used any ma...

Re: [GC] Altimira

I've made another small update to Garon's Shop: You can now confirm your new S-Rank weapon name, so it's a bit easier to avoid making mistakes. The jukebox song list has been adjusted again. The jukebox now synchronises between all players. A small, previously unknown bug with Lucky Roulette has bee...

Re: [GC] Altimira

With BlueCrab's help, I've added two new features to Garon's Shop for S-Rank weapons: you can now rename them and change their name type. The S-Rank name type feature was originally available on DC by selecting the "NO TYPE" option when you beat Challenge mode, but since Sega removed this ...

Re: [GC] Altimira

I'm pleased to announce another major update for Super Hard: with BlueCrab's help, I've added a kill-tracking side quest. The enemies you kill will now be counted towards a goal of 1 million kills, with a reward of 3 Photon Spheres for every 25 000 kills you get. Here are the details: Kills are trac...
