Just spent about a half hour fiddling around in the terminal, hoping I didn't fuck anything up, and came out with nothing. Sigh. Anyway, I ran the terminal command to uninstall fink but it also notes that I should " If you aren't planning to reinstall Fink you also will want to remove the "...

Optical Drive Durability.

How durable is the DC's optical drive anyway? I've already had it replaced once for $20, and now I just wonder how well it's gonna hold up.

I hate to admit I've played a bootleg of SC5 Pt.2, and that probably tears up the drive pretty bad...so yeah.

Any opinions on this?

I wish I had Rez and SC52... :(

You know, my favorite two Dreamcast games are the two that are the most difficult to obtain: Space Channel 5 Part 2 and Rez. I've had bootlegs of the two of them for months, mainly because I can't acquire them otherwise without jumping through some serious hoops. If I could obtain them both for a de...

Well I converted it to Nero and tried burning it witht DiscBlaze, with no use, so I'll try this Dragon Burn later today. I also tried loading the CDI into Toast but it gave me an error message.

My Mac f*cking hates me.

I just burned about 8 coasters trying to get this .cdi file to burn correctly. No matter what I do it still doesn't work in my Dreamcast, or reads it as an audio CD. Could someone please help me here with a tutorial that applies to the newest version of Toast?

Okay well then here's a question.

What's bitrate should encode the video at, audio quality, etc. for the best sort of quality to performance ratio?

Best DIVX/AVI/Video player for the Dreamcast.

Generally, what's the best video player for the Dreamcast? There's an anime convention coming up, and I was gonna bring my DC along with a few discs full of fansubs.
