I love it, to be honest. It's just a LOT of work that I don't have the time to do. I have most of the things set up externally already, anyway. I'd consider doing this, but I like being able to open up my DC without having ribbon cables going all over the place.

Put a disc in; don't worry about that "laser radiation" bullshit. Just don't look directly at the laser.

cRO isint free anymore, you have to buy point cards or pay by credit card  Plus, wouldnt you rather play with a bunch of English speaking players than Chinese? I'm getting my legitimate English Ragnarok Online account set up by my good friend, Clessoulis, and I had previously misinterpreted s...

I don't have the exact schematics that you're looking for, but I can tell you that getting an RGB signal from an older console would be counteractive to a better image; the quality would drop even lower than usual during the conversion from composite / RF to RGB. And like BlackAura said, unless you ...

Here's the fixed reset switch thingy. I'm sorry that it's so messy; I'm at school right now, so I don't exactly have The GIMP or Flash MX at my disposal. Doncha' love MSPAINT? http://www.ocbasketball.com/host/files/dcreset.jpg Anyway, the thing it pretty self explanitory. I drew in the pic for an al...

If you want an external laser adjustment switch, get three relatively long strands extremely high-gauge wire, and desolder the existing potentiometer. Then attach the three long strands to the three leads where the old pot was, then attach them to the corresponding leads on the new potentiometer. Th...

I would be willing to be that this is something that we'll never see become a homebrew-based reality. I remember that TV adaptors did exist, but they were very expensive and complex and were only provided to places like Toys 'R' Us for demonstation purposes.

Right now, I'm busy trying to get cRO to work using a hacked version of the English Beta 2; it'll allow for free play because the Chinese system is still in open beta stages. If anyone wants to check it out, I suggest they check out this Ragnarok Online hacking site with the English Beta 2 -> Chines...

Okay, well this didn't result in any major bodily harm or lifelong psychological damage, but it was pretty bad. I think I've posted this before, but I can't remember for certain. In August 2001 I moved from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Portland, Oregon. That school year was probably the hardest year ...

Squeaking noises? Hmm... do you think maybe the rotary motor has broken off of its mountings? It's happened before, and would be very easy to fix. You should try taking your case off, then just holding or taping down the door switch and trying to figure out where the sound is coming from. (The door ...
