As long as the sourcecode is furnished if a request is made, the program's not in violation of the GPL, and no harm is done. I'm sure Warmtoe would have no problem furnishing the source if someone REALLY wanted it, but it's probably best if we all wait until BA and Warmtoe synchronize their sources ...

Honestly, it really depends on how much they plan on making each game, but I love this idea of episodic games on a very strict time schedule. Speud's bios dumper program can dump the bios files from your Dreamcast via a "coders cable" or BBA. That's the only legal way to use Chankast.

I just thought. This is going on Gametap as well isn't it? Well, Gametap is $9.95 a month... You could just get that and have a bunch of other games and cancel when season 1 is over :D Last I heard, they're planning on doing multiple seasons too... Any DC interpreter can play Gabriel Knight - Sin of the Fathers? Nope. There's no PC engine reimplementation that can play that game either at the moment. The subversion daily builds of ScummVM now have support for the Sierra AGI engine as well. You can grab that at my ScummVM for Dreamcast Support...
