Yeah but, (and you've probably heard this many times before), it does make quite a difference between $250,- and ?250,- It's not just the 60USD we pay more here, but it's also something mental. If people would see a new console for ?199,- they'd be amazed, but at ?250,- they already see it will get ...

Meh... Wii and 360 are expensive in my humble opinion, the PS3 is beyond that point.

Today I recieved the cable, and Skies of Arcadia arrived last week. Thanks for all the replies as they all have helped me a lot in making the right decisions. The game looks stunning on my 17" CRT and I am really glad I got the cable. Though I am still in doubt whether or not I like Shenmue 2 b...

That reminds me of still having to buy a VGA Box/Cable. I take it the jack below is a simple headphone one? Would it work well when connecting it to a stereo?

>_< You gotta be kidding me... Still, it will probably be better to play it through composite rather than at 50Hz. Thanks for the info Phantom. This is more a technical question: What's the reason why some games don't like Scart? I had the problem with Timestalkers as well, but several other US game...

I doubt we'll ever see a new release that does the titel of 'final dc release' more justice than Under Defeat, as it simply wowed everyone. Then again I would welcome any new release... though I'd be hard to push into buying another Shooter. One thing that popped up in a conversation I was having wi...

Skies of Arcadia Pal60?

This question is directed to those who've got a PAL copy of Skies of Arcadia. Does it let you choose between Pal50 and Pal60? Or would I be forced to play at Pal50? I'm asking this because with some games I really got screwed cause I simply can't stand Pal50. Both Grandia 2 and Soul Reaver don't sup...

Is it just me or is 1up just terribly slow the last week? It seems like a very interesting article though, going to read it as soon as I can get the pages and images to load.

Been falling asleep with Dragonland playing on my stereo at 3/4 of max volume (which is the point normally my parents would come upstairs telling me I should turn it down for the neighbours :P )

Never heard of it, I guess I shouldn't worry then. The only reason why I don't like these 'new genres' that try to associate them with metal is because uninformed might get a wrong impression of metal in general. Kinda like how people associate it with screaming and loud music lacking melody(nu meta...

How is it compared to WWF Attitude? I used to play that one a lot with my brother, we both like wrestling games every once in a while. Also, does it have a 'create wrestler mode' ?

Bought Fear of the Dark yesterday, by Iron Maiden. Had the album for quite a while but seeing how I need to return it cause it ain't mine, I decided to pick it up for only ?7 ,- which is a very fair price for a full album.

Then you'd probably are better off getting a budget videocard rather than a midrange, any extra money you save on it can be spend on console gaming. It might be best to look for a 6600 though, just in case you find one game you really like to play, you won't be disappointed your videocard not being ...

Ack, I advice against it... You should get a card with at least 128bit memory bandwith and this one has got 64, not something you want if you intend on playing games. Personally I'd label this card as an office card, handy when you don't want to use system ram for an integrated chip, but nothing mor...

Depends, ATi used to have a pretty bad reputation on their heatsinks, but it might have changed with their newer videocards. As for my own experience: I used to have a Radeon 9800se, and the memory modules felt pretty hot, I never knew the real temperature though. The card has never worked properly ...
