Re: dcload-ip stuck on receiving data after send an *.elf
Hello, is your OS windows ? I had problems years ago and TapamN found the solution : "I found that was apparently caused by how the Windows firewall handles UDP connections. If a UDP connection is idle for more than 60 seconds, it's removed from the NAT and blocked, even if it's still kept open...

Re: Texture Benchmark : pvrmark_texture
Yes, you're right ! And I will modify the code to select OP/TR and with/without filtering to see the differences.
But, I'm not sure if the stats.frame_rate from pvr_get_stats(&stats) is accurate.

Texture Benchmark : pvrmark_texture
Hello, In the kos/examples, there are pvrmark benchmarks for strips and strips direct. I'd like to add a benchmark for textures, so I try to modify the benchmark for strips. I doesn't work as great as expected, I don't think it really calculates the more textures possible displayable at 60 fps. /* K...

Smoothing scaler PVR_SCALER_CFG
Hello, following this thread http://dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=103398 I wonder if it would be useful to propose to players a choice "50 Hz with scaler" / "50 Hz without scaler" / "60 Hz with scaler" / "60 Hz without scaler" My game is in 64...

Re: New user intro / question(s) about Parallax and sprites
* - Technically, there is a way to make neither dimension a power of two. For the horizontal, you can use one strided size per frame, which allows you to use a non-power-of-two dimension for that texture. You only get to set the size once per frame, so all strided textures used in a frame must have...

Re: Linking 2 Dreamcast to make a 8 players homebrew game
From reading this website : http://www.segatech.com/technical/dcblock/index.html It seems that : "The port coming off of the SH-4 is the rear serial port, that has the same performance characteristics as the controller ports, which is about 2 Mbits/s, or 250 KBytes/s. This port can be used for ...

Re: Linking 2 Dreamcast to make a 8 players homebrew game
The Total Control idea would be great and easy, but I don't think KOS will allow to use it.
For the SD card options, it's not simple.
As BlueCrab said, there could be a problem with FAT patent.

Re: Linking 2 Dreamcast to make a 8 players homebrew game
Thanks for all your answers ! To be more precise, I'd like to link two Dreamcast : - the first Dreamcast will display the game, and use the 4 controllers for player 1,2,3 and 4 - the second Dreamcast will be only used for its 4 controllers for player 5,6,7 and 8 Do you think that it's possible to ma...
