If you have a dvd burner, you can get way better quality than kvcd or vcd. Use HalfD1 or fullD1, allocating as much bitrate as you feel needed. The xvid suggestion is dumb, not too many people have xvid players. What if he wants to bring (or give) the dvd to a friend to watch? Also wondering, can yo...

This is VERY interesting. Please edit your post, DcPepperoni, so we can keep this topic open. You could play commercial gdrs on your PC with an emulator.

Homebrew could store however many saves on the hdd as you wanted. Commercial games would not work at all with it though, unless you hacked the game.

Yeah, don't use a variable resistor, unless you like the smell of burnt carbon.

No it won't, unless there is a xvid player out there. I'm not really sure why your sound is getting out of sync, I have used that prog before.

I use vdub, xvid, and besweet myself.

Holy Crap

I'm getting 600Kilobytes/s downloading stuff on my road runner connection. I used to get between 250-370KB/s. Anyone else with rr experiencing speed increases?

Hey, I have a dc that is just like yours. Blue is gnd, orange is key. I don't have a spare dc to mess around with right now though, but if you try it I guess we could make a tut together. Just connect the resistor from blue to orange. If your feeling a little adventurous, you can just short it, peop...

You have a multimeter? If so, set it on voltage and place the terminals on the different pins until you get +5V. Your multimeters negative terminal will be on gnd, the pin that is not connected to the multi is the key pin. Connect the key to gnd with a resistor, it should work. I'll see if I can fin...

From the other topic: I'm pretty sure the RPM thing is crap. I measured resistance from gnd to the extra pin to gnd and it was a constant .88k. The rpm method is probably just acting as a load for the dc's current. People here have said before they just shorted the extra pin to gnd, and it worked. B...

I just got a pretty rare dc, its a model 2 November 2000, but it can read cdrs. I'm still gonna try to put my dc in my pc, and using this dc I might be able to fit it in one bay. The downside is model 2s suck for overclocking :( . Oh well, I killed a dc and some other stuff when I was working on my ...

This is bullshit. It is not going to have a 4.6ghz 64 bit processor, unless it is coming out in 2010.
