But don't you think they're taking this a little too seriously? A "picture" of Phelps smoking marijuana gets him suspended for 3 months? One of the most harmless drugs to the human body, behind alcohol, and even some over the counter pain-killers? I think the anti-marijuana lobbyists got excited enough over this to blow their loads, but I do kinda understand the image issue with the sponsors.
seriously, you get all these cincinnati reds and cincinnati bengals getting in trouble for something just as equal to this or worse.. don't see why this is much different.
Phelps should have said: Yes, I had cannabis, and there is nothing wrong in that. Wake up and smell the BULLSHIT. Shove a finger in your mouths and puke out the propaganda you were fed by the feds!
