I heard some people say it looks almost like a 3D expansion. Still too early to really say that absolutely, but at this point I'm tempted to agree. No real new mechanics, just new units that tweak the gameplay and strategies. It even still uses "floors". Ya know, a ground floor, then a ramp that leads up.
Still, provided it runs well on a medium end machine (which is what mine will be when it comes out), I'll pick it up. Loved the original, and played it not that long ago multiplayer actually.

No, it doesn't. You have to disable automatic updates, windows firewall, windows firewall/antivirus notification, enable quicklaunch (very handy feature, enable it if you haven't already),disable system restore (unless you plan on using it, which is pussy option to begin with), then do this box.zero wrote:I'm using windows xp pro sp2 with no tweaks and it runs fine.Egotistical EvilN wrote:Because XP sucks until you tweak it. Good XP (aka windows 2000 2):

Completely getting rid of the ugly blue color and the sliding shit, and making it all the more usable.
On topic: Warcraft 3 had a completely new setup. This really does look like a 3d expansion. Bugger.

Re: Re:
I just caught that as well. The automatic updates can save your ass. Windows firewall needs to be on if you don't have something doing NAT. The antivirus notification is fine if you have an antivirus program, and if you don't and are running Windows, you're an idiot.Nyarlathotep wrote:Why do you have to do that?Egotistical EvilN wrote:You have to disable automatic updates, windows firewall, windows firewall/antivirus notification
